"Grandma's Rice"

2-3 T butter
1/2 onion, chopped
1/2 c rice
1 can chicken broth

Melt butter in saucepan.  Add chopped onion.  Saute until soft.  Pour vermouth over to cover onions.  Add 1/2 c rice and stir until most of the liquid is absorbed.  Add chicken broth.  Bring to boil.  Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
